Membership in an organization carries with it obligations and responsibilities.  Each member should read and understand the bylaws that serve as a contract between the member and the organization. 

The following responsibilities are common to members of organizations and also apply to members of federated clubs.

  • Pay yearly dues of $65.
  • Attend monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month from September through May. 
  • Contribute to the organization by serving on committees and actively participating in the work of the organization.
  • Accept and uphold the will of the majority and respect the rights of the minority.
  • Promote the objectives and aims of the club.
  • Participate in the discussions and decisions on the issues and express an opinion during the meeting, not after the decision is made. Support club decisions.
  • Give courteous attention during club meetings.
  • Avoid discussing the club business outside the meeting.
  • Refrain from criticism of those who have accepted responsibility and our speakers.
  • Offer only constructive criticism.
  • Learn and practice parliamentary procedure.
  • Enjoy your membership with enthusiasm!
